"Softer. Softest" Hole MTV Unplugged in New york City/ Live Through This this song is also known as "Pee Girl"
Ok, to give out the "Credit in the straight world", I wasn't/am not the first
one to post the chords for Eric's part, I really am not, I had this thing printed from a long time ago and it's no longer on the song list in the Olga thing but I didn't print out the part of the person's name which posted them first, but I was DEFINITLY not, I am, though, the one to post "Courtney's parts". But, another person posted Eric's parts so, I shouldn't get all the credit for this.
Eric's parts, Eric Erlandson is my favorite of the band Hole, I find his role in their music very immportant since he is lead guitar, so I'm posting his parts for this song; (for the second time)
-This part: Remove middle finger from 'e' string slowly and put it back on the 3rd fret while palying, play softly-
Verse #1;
I tell you everything I hope that you won't tell on mee-e-e-e
And I'd give you anything I know that you won't tell on mee-e-e-e
-This part, after hitting the 'G' string on "..belt" upstring, do the same for melt, sour, et cetra, et cetra.
Chorus #1;
The Pee Girl Gets the belt
Your milk makes me me-e-e-elt
Your milk is so sour Baby, I can only cower I can only cower And I can only cower You have all the power
Courtney's Parts Since "Softer. Softest" was recorded originally in a studio and this is the Unplugged version, the Live Through This version is softer and more vocal, this is Courtney's parts for this song;
-Courtney upstrings A LOT! If you play guitar often like me then I guess you have probably gotten used to upstringing on a lot of their songs, unless you play clean versions, but oh, well, this is from the Unplugged.-
I give you every-thing I hope you give it back to mee-e-e-e
I told you every-thing Just, never tell on mee-e-e-e
The Pee Girl Gets the belt
Your milk makes me me-e-e-elt
Your milk is so sour Baby, I can only cower You have all the power I can only cower You have all the power
Those are her 3 chords which she plays through out the song, she doesn't play anything during the bridge.
And that's about it, the lyrics are;
I give you everything, I hope you give it back to me I told you everything, Just, never tell on me The Pee Girl gets the belt Your milk makes me melt Your milk is so sour Baby, I can only cower You have all the power And I can only cower You have all the power I've gotta blister from, Touching everyone I see The abyss opened up, It took everything from me The Pee Girl gets the belt Your milk makes me melt Your milk is so so sick Baby, your milk has a dick (said as "dye") Your milk has a dick Your milk has a dick (said as "dye") Your milk has a dick Burn the Witch, The bitch, She's dead You burn the witch Just bring me back her head The Pee Girl gets the belt Your milk makes me melt Your milk is so mean Baby, your milk turns to cream (said as "cry" at every other line) Your milk turns to cream Your milk turns to cream (cry) Your milk turns to cream -screamed- Your milk turns to cream Your milk turns to cream Your milk turns to cream Your milk turns to cream Your milk turns to cream Your milk turns to cream -sang softly- Your milk turns to cream Your milk turns to cream
This song was written about Courtney, when she was younger people would call her "Pee Girl" b/c she smelt like pee. It's actually a really sad song when you think about it. Any questions, comments, corrections, or whatever, e-mail me at
