FERNANDO SOR - Tablatura - Estudio 1
Gestisci
This following piece is the first of the famous twenty performed by
people such as Lucien Battaglia and Andres Segovia. It is in the key of C
and is in 3/4 time. Above the tablature, I have placed "lines" denoting the
1-2-3 beats of a measure. I can understand it is a little confusing, so if
anybody has any suggestions, please e-mail at the address I supplied below.
Also, I should tell you that when you see "Arp." above a certain chord,
you should arpeggiate the chord ( sorry, there wasn't enough room ). The
equal (=) sign means that that certain note should be held out until the
equals signs succession is stopped.
Personally, I love this piece. Unfortunately, I am just a beginner, and
I cannot play it to utmost perfection, although I do understand what is
involved to make it perfect. There are so many other pieces in the key of C
that are bland. But this one has flavor and variety ( and minor stuff which
I love! ). It is actually quite a difficult song if it is played right.
The end is quite confusing ( last two measures ). All I can do is
explain it in words what is happening. What's really happening is both of
the C's ring throughout the measure, therefore you have to keep them
fretted. At the beginning of the last measure the F on the fourth string
needs to be held 1 full beat into the measure with the pinky finger.
!!!!IMPORTANT!!!! Might I add that all pull-offs in this song are
grace notes ( really quick pull-offs ). Good luck and enjoy!

p- pull-off ( quick )
Arp.- arpeggiate chord
"=" - means to hold note until succession of "=" stop.
let ring- do not mute the strings. let each of the notes of the chord ring.
