Then you get the chorus - or rather the title hook phrase 
"every woman every man..." (etc), because the sequence is the same as the verse 
(4 bars x2), and leads direct to the next verse.

A13sus4 = Gmaj7 with A bass. "G/A" 

is practically the same chord (the F# is an optional detail).
Em7 = G with E bass.
Gmaj9 = Bm7 with G bass.

Etc.
The Dmaj7/A is a weird one (tonic chord with 5th in the bass), but you can forget the 
A if you want (as with all slash chords, leave the bass note to the bassist).
