Unlce Sam Blues - Hot Tuna from first album, recorded live Sept. 1969
written out by Jim in Cleveland This is only my impression of the song. I'm not able to transcribe Jorma's fingerpicking fills or solos. The tab below is designed to give the rhythm of this 12 bar blues in A, by using your pinkie to add a rhythm note to the A and D chords.
Turnaround - Put 3 fingers into a D7 shape with the G and E strings fingered on the ninth fret, slide down to eighth, then seventh; then play A chord, then D, Eb, E. Thusly:
Uncle Sam ain't no woman but he sure can take your man. Said Uncle Sam ain't no woman but he sure can take your man. Well there's 40,000 guys in the service They's doin' somethin' somewhere they just don't understand
Well I'm gonna do some fightin' Of that I can be sure. Well I'm gonna do some fightin' Of that you can be sure. Well I want to kill somebody Won't have to break no kind of law.
Got my questionnaire baby You know I'm headed off for war. Got my questionnaire baby You know I'm headed off for war. Well I want to kill somebody Won't have to break no kind of law.
