Here's an attempt at Lloyd Cole's "Ice Cream Girl" off his first solo album. I'm not sure about the A chord with a ? after it - any help appreciated. Also, the lyrics might be suspect. He only plays the opening riff in the first verse, but I've put the chords in anyway. During the first part of the first, its kind of a funky rhythm on an D - listen to the record for details. Capo at the 3rd fret.

Maybe I'm a little old fashioned Maybe you're a little unkind Maybe I'm a little impatient Well come see about mine
You won't give me your number
Won't give me your time
Said meet me on the corner A? And theres still no sign
Maybe I'm a little outdated Maybe a little out of time To believe your heart is in the right place
Despite what you're doing to mine
That why I'm standing on the corner
A? Lookin like I don't care
*chorus*
You want to crucify my feelings with your fingernails
And leave the loniest boy in the western world
Cruisin the streets for an ice cream girl
*verse 2 - same as first* I feel like a shady politician Trying to sell a broken down car Silly sleeping virgin princess You know that's not what you are Do I have to feel this small Before you play ball
Maybe I lack sophistication Maybe a little unrefined So my credit ain't to good We'll call a dollar a dime
You won't give me your number Won't give me your time I'm standing on the corner And theres still no sign
*chorus - same as last one* You want to crucify my feelings with your fingernails And leave the loniest boy in the western world Cruisin the streets for an ice cream girl
*solo* - over verse chords
*chorus - same as last one* You want to crucify my feelings with your fingernails And leave the loniest boy in the western world Cruisin the streets for an ice cream girl
